Dr. Paustian believes his interest in medicine started with his grandfather’s talks on the farm. His grandfather had desired to enter medicine but after his dad’s illness and death, he took over farming after 8th grade. Dr. Paustian has been passionate and motivated about surgery all through his training. He appreciates the intricate nuances and complexities in the specialty. Dr. Paustian's experiences have equipped him with an exceptional ability to manage challenging cases while maintaining patient centered focus on quality and quality outcomes.
Dr. Paustian likes to use his free time productively. He spends time and exercise with his wife at the gym doing cardio and strength training. They also do bike riding. He enjoys working outside on their hobby farm with the cattle and chickens. He also spends some time working with leather and hobby trains.
